28th Annual Celebration Walk

The fabric of our lives is woven with connections. When someone dear to us dies, we strive not to let their memory fade. We cherish the moments of laughter, adventure, fear, courage, and ease shared with them. Each minute spent together holds significance in our hearts. When Midland Care began over 45 years ago, we made a promise that we would never forget. One of the ways we keep that promise is to invite you, our community family, to join us during our Annual Celebration Walk event. Here, we remember and celebrate the lives of those who are so deeply woven into the fabric of our being and deserve to be remembered.

The Celebration Walk is open to all who want to remember and celebrate someone special, even if Midland Care did not serve that person. Our 28th Annual Celebration Walk begins May 10, 2024, at 6 p.m. and ends at dusk. We hold this family-friendly event on our 22-acre campus at 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas. It is an evening filled with activities to help us celebrate and remember. We have musicians, food trucks, and a designated children’s area with games and face painting, among other activities. A variety of entertainers and activities line our walkway. There is something for everyone in the family.

One of the highlights is the 2,000 luminaries and the annual release of dozens of butterflies in memory of our loved ones.

For a $10.00 donation to Midland Care, honor your loved one by placing their name on a luminary along our walkway and having it read during our closing ceremonies. In 2023, Midland Care provided over $85,000 of unreimbursed services to our community.
