Amanda McCoy, CNA/HHA, Midland Care PACE, Lawrence

With creativity, dedication, and a passion for growth, Amanda excels at the Lawrence PACE Center while preparing for her future as an LPN. She brings joy and innovation to participants and colleagues alike.

Originally from Lawrence, Kansas, Amanda McCoy’s journey to becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide (CNA/HHA) at Midland Care is a testament to her unique blend of dedication and creativity. With a background in dance, Amanda made a rewarding career shift to healthcare, driven by her desire to make meaningful connections with participants daily.

According to PACE Center Administrator John White, Amanda is a favorite in the PACE Center. “Do you need something done? Ask Amanda,” he says. “Full of creative ways to enhance the Center environment, Amanda is always willing to take on the challenge. She’s a forward-thinking individual who sees problems and comes up with answers, often before others even realize something may be amiss. Truly a great Midland Care employee, Amanda’s future is bright!”

Amanda’s passion for growth is evident in her plans. She is already preparing to pursue a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree at Johnson County Community College or Kansas City Community College. Amanda values Midland Care’s flexibility and encouragement for professional development, and she is eager to continue her journey of learning and growth.

Outside of work, Amanda’s adventurous spirit shines through. She spends her free time fishing, working on cars, and cruising around town on her motorcycle. Her lively home is shared with two dogs, Remmy and Tina, two snakes, Anabell and Analee, and a cockatoo named Fred. Known among her colleagues as dependable and adaptable, Amanda’s energy and commitment embody the spirit of Midland Care’s mission. Her adventurous nature not only inspires us but also strengthens the bond within our team.

We’re grateful to have Amanda on our team. She supports our participants and brings smiles to those around her!
